Hi everyone! Just here to say that the blog now has 100 Followers! Can’t really believe it myself. Thank you all so much! It couldn’t have happened without you guys.

Although the show has ended there’s actually been more confessions coming in, which I’m working on right now. So expect an onslaught in the next couple of days. Thank you for following this blog and I hope you’ve enjoyed the confessions.

I spent quite some time deciding between which manga page I should use as the background for this confession, with the two final choices being the page that I used here and this. However in the end I chose this page, mainly for this reason: This page is the ending of the manga. While the other page is of a scene that both anime and manga fans will recognize, the page here illustrates the ending as seen in the manga. Here, many conflicts have been resolved. The main characters have all reconciled with each other, Sentarou has found peace with his family, especially Sachiko and his dad, Kaoru has finally discovered what he wants to do with the rest of his life and has also cleared up his misunderstandings with Ritsuko. Last but not least, Bon, Sentarou, Ritsuko and her dad finally have the chance to play their long-put off performance that was to be played for the cultural festival. And all of that is perfectly summed up in this one final page.
There is no doubt that Watanabe-sensei did a brilliant job of fitting the manga into 12 episodes and I wish to congratulate him on that. However to me the ending of the anime lacked the sense of resolution that the manga ending did. I hope that if any of you have the time, you’ll read the manga ending.
I apologize for leaving such a long post but this confession struck quite close to home (I also cried a bit at the end) and I just thought I’d add my two cents.
